International Business Development
Linguistic requirements: International candidates should have superlative written and spoken English and Spanish. Additional knowledge of French is helpful.
Mission: Sales Service Managers provide business development support in servicing designated customer accounts. They act as a liaison between the customer, manufacturing, accounting, business development and other service departments, to ensure conformance to the customer's requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Provide sales administrative support in the form of:
- Analyzing Request for Proposals
- When invitations for tender are received, the tender document is to be analyzed for such aspects as technical specifications for estimating and design purposes and manufacturing capability.
- Proposal Preparation
- Compose the formal tender document. Liaise with Design and Estimating Departments to ensure the timely provision of designs and estimates.
- Order Performance Analyst
- Negotiate, agree and formalize customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor schedules toward committed delivery date.
- Arrange shipping instructions with manufacturing and customers.
- Design Specification Writing
- Write design specification documents for the Design Department.
- Provide timely amendments to design specifications to the Design Department.
- Negotiate, agree and formalize customer design delivery requirements.
- Monitor schedules toward committed delivery date.
- Sales Order Entry
- Prepare sales order for delivery to manufacturing.
- Provide manufacturing with timely amendments to specifications.
- Co-ordinate Customer Visits
- Liaise with sales, design and manufacturing to co-ordinate customer visits to reflect CBN's desired corporate image.
- Customer Correspondence
- Prepare letters, faxes, proposals in accordance with the Corporate style.
- Manage customer inquiries relating to schedule changes, changes in technical specifications, design, etc
- Work with the Finance Department to monitor payments and debtors.
- Assist the Director of Business Development as appropriate.
- From time to time prepare reports and portfolio summaries for senior CBN management and International Business Development personnel.
- Perform duties that are consistent with the nature of the position.
Education
- A first-class University degree in Business or the Humanities
- Exposure to international business and a general interest in foreign affairs are assets
- Experience working in customer support, contract management, project management or a related field.
- Experience in systems solutions is helpful.
- Fluency in English and French is desirable. Additional knowledge of Portuguese is helpful.
- Ability to multi-task
- Able to facilitate diverse groups' interests and bring issues to resolution in compressed time frames.
- Highly motivated and self directed.
- Possess advanced analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Able to manage customer inquiries and oversee and coordinate all administrative aspects of contract and order management.
- Highly organized, with strong oral and written communication skills, as well as creative presentation skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, including Power Point.
- Able to work flexible hours and travel internationally, if required
- Eligible to obtain Canadian government secret level security clearance
